Ufa mentioned as a city
Ufa's history museum dates the first chronicle reference to a city on the Belaya to 1586. A city statistical overview gives the same year as the date Ufa acquired city status.
Context
A chronicle reference and the foundation of a fort are different milestones in the city's early history. The year 1586 is therefore presented separately from the traditional foundation date of 1574.
